Welcome to the PVE Retribution Paladin DPS Guide for World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King!

This guide will teach you how to play an Retribution Paladin in a raid. It covers talents, glyphs, gems, enchantments, rotation, and gameplay tips.

Suitable for players with low gear. “Pre-ICC” build (Icecrown Citadel).

• Glyph of Consecration
• Glyph of Judgement
• Glyph of Seal of Vengeance

Minor Glyphs

• Glyph of Sense Undead
• Glyph of Lay on Hands

Gems are situational and depend on the build and equipment. They are used to reach the required stat caps.

• Meta – Relentless Earthsiege Diamond
• Red – Bold Cardinal Ruby or Precise Cardinal Ruby
• Yellow – Etched Ametrine
• Blue – Nightmare Tear x1

• Head – Arcanum of Torment
• Shoulder – Greater Inscription of the Axe
• Cloak – Enchant Cloak – Greater Speed or Enchant Cloak – Major Agility
• Chest – Enchant Chest – Powerful Stats
• Bracers – Enchant Bracers – Greater Assault
• Gloves – Enchant Gloves – Crusher or Enchant Gloves – Precision
• Waist – Eternal Belt Buckle with Bold Cardinal Ruby
• Legs – Icescale Leg Armor
• Boots – Enchant Boots – Greater Assault
• Weapon – Enchant Weapon – Berserking

• Use Seal of Vengeance for single target or Seal of Command for AoE.
• Use Judgement of Light / Judgement of Wisdom
• Use Crusader Strike
• Use Divine Storm
• Use Consecration
• Use Exorcism when The Art of War procs.
• Use Holy Wrath when fighting Undead or Demons.

• Use Avenging Wrath along with trinkets as needed on cooldown.
