Feral Druid Tank PVE Guide – WotLK

Welcome to the PVE Feral Druid Tank Guide for World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King!

This guide will teach you how to play a Feral Druid Tank in a raid. It covers talents, glyphs, gems, enchantments, rotation, and gameplay tips.

Talents

The first build is for players with lower gear levels. Two of the talents with one talent point – decide if you want Stun or AoE damage. Infected Wounds are not needed if a Death Knight is in your party.

Glyphs

Major Glyphs

Minor Glyphs

Gems

Gems are situational and depend on the build and equipment. They are used to reach the required stat caps.

Enchants

Rotation & Gameplay

Rotation

  • Cast Faerie Fire (Feral) at pull to generate extra aggro.
  • Maul + Swipe (Bear) are your main AoE aggro abilities, use tab targeting to rotate through mobs
  • Use Berserk at the start and spam Mangle and Maul on cooldown to generate aggro
  • Keep up 5 stacks of Lacerate

Abilities

Long Cooldown Abilities

  • Barkskin – has a low cooldown of 1 minute. Use it as much as you can but time it to maximize the efficacy
  • Survival Instincts – is that last resort when you’re almost dead. Gives some extra time for the healers
  • Survival Instincts + Frenzied Regeneration is a good combo.
  • Enrage – a standard rage-generator. But It won’t reduce armor if you have Druid T10 Feral 4P Bonus (4 items from T10 set)
