Welcome to the PVE Feral Druid Tank Guide for World of Warcraft Wrath of the Lich King!
This guide will teach you how to play a Feral Druid Tank in a raid. It covers talents, glyphs, gems, enchantments, rotation, and gameplay tips.
Talents
The first build is for players with lower gear levels. Two of the talents with one talent point – decide if you want Stun or AoE damage. Infected Wounds are not needed if a Death Knight is in your party.
The second build is for players with 4 piece T10 bonus.
Glyphs
Major Glyphs
- Low Gear Level
- With 4 Piece Tier 10 Bonus
Minor Glyphs
Gems
Gems are situational and depend on the build and equipment. They are used to reach the required stat caps.
- Meta – Austere Earthsiege Diamond or Effulgent Skyflare Diamond
- Blue
- Yellow / Red
If you need Hit or Expertise- Accurate Ametrine (Red/Yellow)
- Glinting Ametrine (Red/Yellow)
- Vivid Eye of Zul (Blue/Yellow)
Enchants
- Head – Arcanum of the Stalwart Protector
- Shoulder – Greater Inscription of the Gladiator
- Cloak – Enchant Cloak – Major Agility
- Chest – Enchant Chest – Powerful Stats
- Bracers – Enchant Bracers – Major Stamina
- Gloves – Enchant Gloves – Major Agility
- Waist – Eternal Belt Buckle
- Legs – Frosthide Leg Armor
- Boots – Enchant Boots – Tuskarr’s Vitality
- Weapon – Enchant Weapon – Mongoose
Rotation & Gameplay
Rotation
- Cast Faerie Fire (Feral) at pull to generate extra aggro.
- Maul + Swipe (Bear) are your main AoE aggro abilities, use tab targeting to rotate through mobs
- Use Berserk at the start and spam Mangle and Maul on cooldown to generate aggro
- Keep up 5 stacks of Lacerate
Abilities
- Growl
- Faerie Fire (Feral)
- Mangle (Bear) – Increases damage from Maul
- Maul
- Lacerate – Keep 5 stacks on the target all the time
- Swipe (Bear)
Long Cooldown Abilities
- Barkskin – has a low cooldown of 1 minute. Use it as much as you can but time it to maximize the efficacy
- Survival Instincts – is that last resort when you’re almost dead. Gives some extra time for the healers
- Survival Instincts + Frenzied Regeneration is a good combo.
- Enrage – a standard rage-generator. But It won’t reduce armor if you have Druid T10 Feral 4P Bonus (4 items from T10 set)
